Stephanie Chai started modeling in Asia at the age of 18, all the while juggling her life as a student at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Post graduation with a Finance degree under her belt, Steph made the transition to television where she hosted numerous shows from reality to travel. However, as a girl with many hats, in 2009 she decided to follow her dream to become an entrepreneur, with WeddingGuideAsia.com. Why weddings? “Why not? After all, love makes the world go round!”

Emilia Hii (Managing Director & Editor)

Having planned her own vineyard wedding , Emilia knows a little thing or two about what it takes to put together an unforgettable nuptial celebration. Adding to her repertoire is her role as ‘professional wedding guest’! This important job has seen her travel to exotic locales and rustic countrysides to witness and share in wedding joys of her beloved friends, each wedding beautiful and memorable in their own way.

With her and Stephanie at the helm of the WGA love boat, it’s all hands on deck for the team as we gear up to take the WGA portal to the next level.

Best friends with Stephanie since the age of 3, it was a given that Elaine would appoint her as one of her maids of honour. However, having just moved back from Perth, she found it tough googling for local information to help her plan the wedding. After long chats with Stephanie, they both felt Asia could do with a simple, chic and trustworthy site that made life easier for brides-to-be.

In Sept 2010, Elaine tied the knot and today enjoys her new nickname, Mrs. Yap!
